David was born and raised in Houston, TX, and proudly served in the Marine Corps from July 2009 to August 2020. During my service, he had the opportunity to deploy to Okinawa, Japan, as part of the Unit Deployment Program in April 2017.

After his military service, he continued his commitment to helping others by deploying as a civilian in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Like many veterans, he found himself searching for his purpose after his time in service. Through numerous trials and challenges, he ultimately surrendered himself to the Lord, which brought him renewed direction and strength.

Throughout his journey, he has had the privilege of leading many Marines and exploring diverse cultures, now he has turned his energy into mentoring and supporting veterans. He has worked with veterans facing various mental and physical challenges from Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other disorders. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work at Angelo State University to continue furthering his education to better serve those in need of support.

David is certified in Peer Support – Texas Veterans Commission, Mental Health First Aid – National Council for Mental Wellbeing and CPR/AED First Aid – American Red Cross
